On behalf of British Future and the British Muslim Trust, Number Cruncher has polled attitudes both among and towards British Muslims.
More than half of Muslim adults in Great Britain report experiencing religious prejudice in the past year, yet three-quarters say Britain is a good place to be Muslim. Among the wider public, attitudes towards Muslims split roughly evenly into positive, neutral, and negative groups. Six in ten British adults support government action against anti-Muslim prejudice, and on almost every measure attitudes are markedly warmer among people who have regular social contact with Muslims.
Tables can be found here for the British Muslim sample and here for the general population sample and British Future’s report can be found here.
Number Cruncher interviewed 1,013 GB Muslim adults (18+) online between 4th and 22nd Mar 2026 and 2,000 GB adults (18+) online between 4th and 18th March 2026. Data are weighted to the profiles of the respective populations. Image contains AI-generated or modified content
